Maybelline Lip Gloss Allergy

A friend of mine just got out of the hospital after a five day stay - two in ICU on a ventilator. She bought Maybelline Lip Gloss and immediately after putting it on, she started feeling sick. Her mother called the ambulance and if they had been a few minutes later my friend could have died. It was scary for a while, but she made it out fine. So everyone who’s using makeup or just about any new skin product, please be careful and read all the ingredients and warnings before using.

Makeup in general can contain a number of allergens and some contain chemicals that can be extremely harmful if ingested. With lip gloss, eyeliner and other products that are applied on or near openings such as your mouth or eyes, there is a far greater chance that allergens will enter your body. If you have even a slight reaction to any product, discontinue use immediately and it’s always best to seek medical advice from a doctor or other medical professional to ensure any possible harm is not continuing.
